SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The company issue made for intervention experiences a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that status sassa Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
